the butterfly effect.

Butterfly effect: “A small change in one state of a nonlinear system can result in large differences in a later state. metaphorical example of the details of a hurricane (exact time of formation, exact path taken) being influenced by minor perturbations such as the flapping of the wings of a distant butterfly several weeks earlier.” (Wikipedia)

Witnessing this beautiful butterfly with its vibrant colors just being a butterfly, flitting its wings, reminded me that we don’t have to do or be more of who we are to make a difference in the world.

Listen to the butterfly flitting its wings. It’s not showing off but just BE-ing.

Be-ing what it is born to be.

How do you flap your wings?

Your unique form of expression—the words you choose to express yourself, the clothes you choose to wear, the job you choose, the thoughts you think, the feelings you carry in your heart—are all about YOU flapping your wings and making a difference in the world, whether you see it right now or not. The reverberation affects every SINGLE thing, now and later.

Today, these singular “butterfly effect acts” can make a difference not just in your life but others’ lives and the world at large:

Thank ONE person today for who they are.

Express I love you to ONE person.

Do ONE random act of kindness.

Declutter ONE item that you no longer love.

Give away ONE item you know will bring greater happiness to somebody else.

Take care of the most important ONE in your life – YOU.

Flap your unique set of wings and do not just flit or fly today. Decide to SOAR with your wings to live your TruthLoveMeaningPurpose because that is enough and is making a difference in the world.
